What do you think of getting some online courses (or degree programs, in a Canadian college or university) for an immigrant-to-be prior to moving to Canada? I have European education plus work experience in project management. Will be moving to Canada in about a year. Want to use this time properly in order to be ready for the job hunting challenges, but don't really know which institutions are available, how online education is valued among the employers?

Any ideas would be more than welcomed!

Many reputable Universities in Canada such as Lethbridge, York, UWO etc... provide programs that are entirely online. The final degree and transcripts do not mention that courses were taken online so there is no way to tell if a course was taken online.
