Canadian Immigration in the Skilled workers

Hello World,
I applied for the Canadian Immigration in the Skilled workers and professionals category in April 2006, I received the confirmation letter with file number “XXXX”, its more then 2 and half years now, I haven't heard any thing from them. Any idea how long they will take to process my case, I submitted my case in London Embassy. The letter was mentioning time period will be 40 month on it.
I am from Pakistan and living here since 2003. With Pakistani passport I am on work permit.
Please suggest me what I have to do......
Prompt response is hilly appreciated.
Regards
Adnan

I think the average time in London is something like 3 years so yours should be coming up soon. You can ask the London visa office or just wait. They are slow but they do come through eventually.
