Nowhere.... infact they have nothing  for the backlog esp pre-feb2008 applicants.

"The report confirms how new initiatives have helped the government to reduce the backlog by 40 percent..."

How they reduced it by 40% when they have hardly processed pre-feb 2008 applicants. The 40% reduction are those applicants who have withdrawn and reapplied or simply given-up. Backlog processing timelines have more than doubled than originally projected thanks to the ingenious planning by the CIC.

CIC has two backlog categories pre-feb 2008 and post-feb2008 to pre-june2010. The latter category backlog is creation of the present honorable minister who want to clear his mess first and the pre-feb2008 backlog is not on his radar. Statistics quoted by CIC conceal more than they reaveal which is a shame considering Canada is a so called developed and fair country. Even the standard reply CIC has started to send to the pre-feb2008 applicants say ...few applications will be processed this year or next...... CIC has enough applicants from MI-1 and MI-2 for the next two years. So CIC does not itself know when to process those unfortunate applicants who applied before feb2008. This is the wonderful planning that goes into clearing the backlog by 40%.

What a shame or shall I say what a sham.

Greatly explained the ill-planned backlog cleaning strategy!
