I have been approached by an American firm to sell their product in Canada. I have researched quite a few possible scenarios on the forums but none seem to match exactly. I would be given a demo unit and inventory under $5,000. From what I have found it appears its easy on the Canadian side I'm having difficulty finding info on where I pay my taxes (US or Canada) I'm hoping someone has some info for me or is in the same circumstance.

Hope you have heard of multinational companies. They exist in different countries and operate in a country as per the rules of that country though their products might be universal or specific to that country. So, when you work and earn in a country, you are bound to pay taxes to that country.

I telecommute to a company in the US and I pay my taxes in Canada.

If you are unsure, contact the Canadian tax authorities and ask for advice.
