Okay! I know anybody who is born in Canada gets the canadian PP even if on visit ... My question is if a child is born in such a situation n the parents want to continue living in Canada for his/her education, can they do so? if Yes, how & when can they apply for Canadian immigration? How long does this process usually take?

They have to qualify the same as every one else.  The Canadian child doesn't give them any rights, except when the child turns 18 s/he could sponsor them if s/he met the LICO.
Extremely unlikely/impossible that CIC would allow the parents to remain as visitors while the child goes to school.
