I am coming to canada on a study permit and the school im attending is a private institute- LSBF Toronto Campus.

Is it possible for me to get a permanent job position after my studies by doing CBCEP( canadian Business Class Experience Program)?

Beware of private institutes because u can't get work permit from most of them and u cant get a job without a work permit here in canada .. wait for more advice from senior members

Hey,

The other member is right, private institutions cannot offer post-graduate work permit here is the requirements to apply for one

"You must have studied full time in Canada and you must have completed a program of study that lasted at least eight months.
In addition, you must have graduated from:
a public post-secondary institution, such as a college, trade/technical school, university or CEGEP (in Quebec), or
a private post-secondary institution that operates under the same rules and regulations as public institutions, and receives at least 50 percent of its financing for its overall operations from government grants (currently only private college-level educational institutions in Quebec qualify), or
Canadian private institution authorized by provincial statute to confer degrees but only if you are enrolled in one of the programs of study leading to a degree as authorized by the province and not in all programs of study offered by the private institution"

Please check with the college before you come here and verify with CIC.
Hope that helps

hey Sara,

as other colleagues suggested
i am worried that likely you will not be candidate for  PR for now. but definitely in the future yes.
you need work experience for 2 years in known NOC,
or to study the minimum requirements needed then apply as postgraduate but this is need 4 years a minimum plus one year work . or  just PHD graduate without any work as new criteria by CIC
but better of to ask immigration consultant.
but my suggestion to stick into clear skilled work with minimum wage payment. then  paying your taxes for 2 years then apply
unfortunately the students who work on campus or off campus most of the time is not fixed, no tax payed and not clear under which NOC or LMO
thanks

hi sara009

i sent u a message on ur inbox but just read ur post again. i can now understand that ur talking about getting permanent job after u studied and not applying for Canadian Experience Class skilled worker category. Well, I dont know about that but what i can say is that this forum is for people trying to get permanent resident under canadian experience class category  and not necessary getting permanent job position as ur saying. u can as well find out from the school u will be attending and they will help u to find out. I dont know if this forum will be of  great help but maybe someone else will know better. Have a great evening
