Canada Visitor Visa
«

hi,
I am visiting USA on a temporary tourist visa B1/B2. I also want to visit Canada. My Canadian Tourist visa expired in October. I will have to reapply in USA as I did not have time in India to get the tourist visa. Will I get the visa from the Consulate in Los Angeles. I have been to Canada before twice. Once in 2002 and recently in 2008. I have a document from college saying that I study there and I still have a year left. Also I have sponsorship letter and proof of funds and return ticket to India. Please let me know as soon as possible cos I am going to apply on the 1st of June. What are my chances of getting the visa? Has anyone else got it from the same situation?
Thanking you already
Ashwin

What is your current status in Canada?
Do you have a valid study permit?

In that case, it is solely at the Visa Officer's discretion as your country of residence is not US.

Hi ashwin007,
As long as you have a legal status in the U.S., you can apply for a TRV.

Hope this helps.
