Hi Everyone,
I am in Canada since last 1 year and 9 months on a W1-mutliple entry work permit(Got 2 years work permit) and it expries on DEC. 2011.I have planned vacation for 1 month to my home country from 1st Oct to 30 OCt 2011 And I will be returing to Canada on 31st OCT. 2011.
My employer already started extension procedure for my work permit.
Also my wife also here on Visitor visa got for 2 years experies in the same month i.e. Dec 2011
and she is also coming with me on 1month vacation to home country.My employer already started her extension as well.
Would everyone please share your experiences is it ok if we go and come back on 31st OCT.2011 because there will be still 1 month 15 days of time of our visa to exprire.We will be landing in Canada before 1 month 15 days of our visa expire.
will it be ok everyting at port of entry ?

I am planning to go for vacation too and work permit extension is in process but I will have just 18 days to expire my visa when I will be back. I am on the same boat like Omshri..
Please let me us know if anyone know anything about the situation. Will it be problem in the port of entry?

Hi guys, As long as when you come back you're still holding a valid work permit, a valid TRV, and a letter from your current employer or proof of current employment; you will be just fine.  |

when we will come back definetly we will carrying letter from our current employer or proof of current employment.
Do we have tell about work permit extension if this info asked at port of entry ?

Hi Plussy,
Actually, my case is through the LMO and my employer has already applied for LMO through lawyer. so, Will I be fine if I have 2 weeks left on my visa and work permit when I come to the port of entry. Of course I will be taking the letter from employer that I am on vacation and also the proof that LMO has been applied. Will I have any problem in the port of entry?

no, when u reach canada u need valid docs,still your permit till dec you are 100% safe,enjoy the vacation with out worries,,still if they want they will call your employer to confirm that so dont worry, they have to allow you,

please help...

Hi faithyou..thanks for your reply..but im pretty sure i can recieve my work permit before im leaving on jan.2,2012..waht i mean is can i start applying my re-entry in buffalo using this old work permit that i have now(expired feb18,2012)
im leaving jan.2,2012
.be back feb.5,2012
work permit expires feb.18,2012
but my renewal for work permit still on process(was sent june 10,2011)
