Canada post -- delay in delivery?

Hi all

Can some1 plz tell how many does express post is taking these days to send application from Toronto to Mississauga?

The Canada post website says -- "Item Delayed - Temporary volume surge as we resume operations"

In my local CP office they have a sign, stating that Xpresspost™ delivery times cannot be guaranteed.

CBC are reporting that "Canada Post pleads for patience over backlog"

If you mail from Toronto, will not take days. Just need to be patient and pray that your papers will go trough.

I would guess that for the next couple of weeks CP will be slow.
You can send it by courier if you want fast delivery.

I ran into the same problem hopefully by th end the backlog will be cleared

Its better to use other courier like Fedex, UPS or whatever. I sent my application on June 8 through Canada Post by priority and its still stuck in it and now the delivery says TO BE DETERMINED!  . Don't use CP for mails at the moment if you need fast delivery.
