Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

If you applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after  February 27, 2008 and before  June 26, 2010 , your application will take two years or more to be processed. This is due to the fact that Canada received over 425,000 applications under this program during this period.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process federal skilled worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

we submitted simplified application in aug 2008 and then didn't recieve anything at all

on 21st  march 2011 they sent letter to submit the documents requested in that letter within 90 days(ielets result, employment proofs, bank staement, relative's details who's in canada, birth certificates, marriage certificates, passport photo copies, passport size photo of each family member etc)

after submition of all these with in 90 days, on 20th of june they sent another letter requesting police clearence and employment details before 2008 (earlier they asked to submit employment details from the date of our 1st application, aug 2008) and an immigration summary form was attached with this letter to be filled and submitted along all the above documents within 60 days they will again review these documents 60 days of this letter i.e 20th august 2011.

lets see what happens but our process is far diffirent from all others. anyone in same situation please share your thoughts. thanks
