Experts..please advise..
I am a software profession with 9 years experience currently in US. Suppose if my spouse gets a student visa and moves to Canada and based on that I get a dependent work permit, will I be able to apply for a PR if I get a AEO. If it is possible how long I need to wait.

1. Can I apply for PR immediately after I get and AEO and start working in Canada on dependent work permit.
2. Wait for 1 year.
3. Wait for 2 years.

Thanks.

If you get an AEO, you can apply right away.  If you are already working on a work permit, you don't need an AEO, it would be enough to get a letter from the employer offering you to continue to work there after you get your PR.
