SATDXB,
Thanks for the suggestion. It's very educational. There seems to be only one message in this thread. Careers Success is a long term process and it cannot be done overnight.
God bless members of this thread,
Noel
Well said Noel. Cheers..

Oh, this thread is going on a right direction, thanks to all members of this forum. I am into administration/accounts/event Management, so would like to work in this field only still outside canada. Thanks to Mr.Paresh who has given some important thoughts about networking and to take things in a positive way. One more question to Mr.Paresh give some more imputs on resume building and ur experience. People talk of multiple ones, pl. if you can discuss more this subject. Regards
if you take my opinion, i have not changed my resume while applying for the jobs here in canada...i have same resume that i used to apply back in my country...i wrote the things which i actually did in my job, that is it....you guyz know what to write and what not to.....brief summary of your profile and cover letter is enough to get attention of employers.....just brief information on first page of ur resume about ur roles and responsibilities will make employers identifying the right resource that they are looking for.... this is just the traditional way, what i recommend you and everybody here in this forum is visit linkedin, facebook and identify the people who are working on your own field...develop good relation with them...mail and ask them that you need some mentor ship from them without expecting any kind of job....this will help you developing long term relationship with the people....i reiterate, ASSOCIATE with as many people as you can...plan to meet somewhere, have some friendly talk, be good listener, get rid of ur ego, smile as much as you can, be help to others... eventually you will get the job...good luck fellows...

prsh_patel,
You have been in Canada since January 2011? That means you have no job yet up to this point in time despite your applications?

Thanks Mr.Paresh for your wonderful suggestions and to make us realize that are various ways where we can look forward for help. Actually frankly talking we should be positive and try to do our best in which ever part of the world we are. Through this forum i would like to invite each and every immigrant to be friendly as only friends can help and no relative is migrating with us to a unknown land. Looking forward for some more imputs from seniors and landed migrants. Regards

011-2016, states that there will be a labour shortage of qualified applicants for IT related jobs in Canada within the next few years. The report was released by the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC). According to the report, over 106,000 IT related positions will become available between 2011 and 2016 in Canada; however there may not be enough people to fill those positions. The report has also indicated that the most shortages will occur for positions which require five or more years of experience. In order to address the concerns regarding labour shortages, the report is suggesting five recommendations: Post-secondary students should be encourages to take IT-related courses; Foreign-education workers should be better integrated into Canada's IT workforce; Making post-secondary education more cross-disciplinary; and Making the IT industry more accessible for various skill levels and diverse employees. Another important suggestion made by the report is to bring more foreign skilled workers to Canada. The IT industry will be looking for skilled workers with many different skills, rather than a specific technical expertise. The Government of Canada has not indicated how these shortages will affect their immigration strategies. Canadavisa.com will report on any changes to the Canadian immigration programs once they have been announced. http://www.canadavisa.com/news/entry/canadas-it-industry-to-face-labour-shortages-110404.html
