can we check study permit application status online?

i found a link which i input ur uci and personal data and then there's no record of my case, furthermore, it says:

At this time, you may use this on-line service to view the status of your application ONLY if you have:
sponsored a member of the family class;
applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada;
applied for a permanent resident card (initial, replacement or renewal);
applied for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship);
applied for Canadian citizenship for a person adopted by a Canadian citizen (on or after January 1, 1947);
applied for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship);
applied to renounce Canadian citizenship; or
applied to resume Canadian citizenship.
which i though this checking system couldnt applied to study permit application? since SP is sort of temporary resident appli?

Sounds like a shady link. What all personal information did you share? and Whats the link?  Also where are you from?

Study Permit is not Temporary Resident Visa, they both are two separate things.  You will be applying for TRV and if approved, you will be grated SP at the Port of Entry, Canada.

thx for ur answer, that link is from the official website and i just wonder if this checking system applies to study permit. i hand in my case on dec 2nd to detroit, mi, what i'm applying for r both study permit as well as the visa. but til now, there's no any record of my case....

Still many thx, i have sent a email to detroit embassy, hope get a helpful reply very soon.
my problem is, when i emailed  "lagos.immigration @ international.gc.ca" to request a update of my current address, i was asked to "contact the courier company", what does that mean? think positively, my application may have been decided and shipping to my previous add, so i need to notify them with my current one. but on the other hand, could it be possible that the embassy hasnt got my application package, that it was lost on its way to the detroit? feel sad and god bless....

Hi,

It means it's not the job of CHC to handle your address details but of designated 'courier company'. Like in India, it's VFS which handle courier/address details.
