Can anyone suggest where to buy a good (not the $400 Canada Goose) winter coat and the price. I plan to land in the middle of Canadian winter. Contrary to humans spreading scary views about Canadian winters, I am excited to face it. I am a Yogi who can endure any temperatures smiling.

If you are a yogi and can endure any temperature smiling, then why buy a winter coat.  Surely you will be happy in a summer coat :)

Actually, I wouldn't bother with a good winter coat.  Just layer up.  You can have a good windbreaker and wear it with a fleece or a sweater or both if it's really cold.  Get good gloves though.  For really cold days, you might want to have some extra pants over your pants.  You can get the warm up pants with the snaps on the sides, that way you can snap them off quickly if you have to go inside.
