I would rather beg or sell my blood than asking for money to a government.
O god ! Why would I ask for  money to a govt when I got my two hands, skills, a head to think and the will to do something?

Here people living in million $$ homes claim CTB. No need to get unhappy about it, no egos. You can get that money and keep in the account for higher education of kid, if you feel then no need to use it for your personal use.
Once you will pay hefty 15 % HST on everything you would like to get something from the Govt also.

Some Selfrespect is expected...some people especially migrant should earn before claiming...hope they have waiting period like Australia...but compared to antisocial things certain people do..... its better they beg and yes go ahead a mark me -

This is utterly shameful to think about claiming child benefits even before landing in Canada. People got their brains to think and organs to work with for earning. Some people within this forum are so enthusiastic about Child benefit that prompts me to think that these people are not so far from claiming CTB,  social benefits and soon becoming a burden for Canada.
