Great Man!
Can you maybe list the actions/ statuses from the beginning so we know what to expect and when? for example, I send my papers, what is the first thing I will hear from them, how and in how much time?

thanks again

thanks for the info! let me see if I got this!

Then we get the above three and if everything goes well we are in for processing?

And then they start asking for any additional documents, including medicals etc?

Have I understood it or am I way off?

1. You will not get any notification from CIC that your application was received. You will know from your courier.

2.First notification from CIC will be the PER or God forbid NER.
With your PER you will get a case # and a UCI# (unique client ID) - with UCI you will be able to go online on CIC website and check your case status.

What I just posted above are the status postings that you will be going true.

Oh ok! sorry for asking further! I just want to learn things!

so, AM I covered safely under the cap when my courier says that they  received it or when I get my PER?
how long after i send the application should I be expecting my PER?
Is NER something that when it happens, you get your application and your fees back and you can reapply as soon as possible or not?

thank you

To be honest you are not safe until your CC was charged, but that only means you made it in the CAP; they ca still return your file for some missing documents.
So actually you are safe when you receive you PER.
NER is negative eligibility response. yes you will get your file back and probably your money.
About re-sending the applic. that depends on the reason  for which it was rejected the first time.

CC is my credit card to assume? when i see it charged it means that I made the cap? and when should I expect this happening? how much time after i send the application? approximately of course.

After you receive your per, what are some possible reasons for rejection?

Yes CC is credit card. Credit card encashed only means that documents are complete, they still have to calculate your points after. PER or NER takes approx 45-60 days. And then for information on application processing times at VO see the spreadsheet on my signature.

My CC was charged after 20 days from the date the applic. was received, but I have noticed that the period has increased.

hm.. from the spreadsheet I see that most PERs came 3-4 months after app was received! How are we contacted? always via email? anything by mail? Only important stuff i guess.

I will try on of the next days (maybe as soon as I send my application) to gather all the statuses and times and try to make a good guide about it because it still seems too confusing! I better start studying it then!

thanks!
