 hi can anyone else me out..i lived in winnipeg canada for 14 years .. got deported for a drug charge in 2003 did 6 months in jail in canada it was my first time ever going to jail or doing something like the drug charge...i been living in portugal for the past 7 years what i was woundering is if i can be sponserd back in to canada by my father or family sence i got all  my family back in canada also got a son that is 11 years old now and that i haven´t seen for 7 years can anyone help me out and advice me on what i should do...i got a clean record in portugal been at the same job for 7 years for the goverment  can anyone else me out thanks

I can't tell whether you have a wife who is a canadian citizen.  If so, she might be able to sponsor you as long as 1) enough time has elapsed since your conviction and 2) you are considered rehabilitated.

Your father can't sponsor you because you're too old.  Your son isn't old enough to sponsor you yet.  So it depends whether you have a wife who's eligible.

no i do not have a wife in canada just a son and family its been 7  years that i been deported and 8 years sence i been out it was my first conviction would that count for anything
