i want to know how to obtain a visitors visa, so i can stay with my husband while we file inland. i have posted several times and NO ONE will answer, i sure somebody out there knows Please...??

However, I am reading through some of your last few threads and I don't understand why you're now asking about getting a visitor visa so you can stay in Canada while filing inland.  You were originally intending to apply outland, from what I read.  Why has that changed?  Also, US citizens don't get visitor visas - you have to be assessed at the port of entry and the officer there will decide whether or not to let you in.  There's a whole process you go through if you want to come in to stay while waiting for a sponsorship ap to be assessed and that process involves your Canadian accompanying you and asking for status for you.

I'll go read more, so I'm better prepared to answer your questions - but, as of right now, I'm confused about what's made you change your mind and think about applying inland.  In my opinion it's not your best option.

You cannot apply Inland if you are not living in Canada. Therefore, getting a visitor visa is a redundant question. If you mean, you are applying Outland and want to visit for a while, then just go to the Border with all your proof of return and ties to the USA and application receipt and hope that the Border Guards let you in.

There is nothing stopping you from going to visit your husband right now and filing your outland or inland application from inside Canada.  If you are a US citizen, you are visa exempt but in order to be able to extend your visitor status when needed, you need to be able to prove when you entered the country so you must ask for a passport stamp when you enter.  You could also tell them when you enter, better if your husband is with you, that you plan to apply for sponsorship and can you get a visitor record.  They could for example give you a year in Canada instead of the normal 6 months.

if you don't need a visitor visa and can enter the country with your passport you just get a stamp and thats usually valid(unless stated otherwise) for 6 months. then you apply inland and extend your status as a visitor 3 months before your visitor status expire and you wait. inland applications last usually between 11 and 15 months(if everything goes good). but if you are from the United states i think you don't get a stamp in your passport, in that case i dont know how it works

Basically, It will be of your best interest to Apply outland by stating the mailing Address of either you or your spouse in the PR outland Application for return mails from CIC.

It doesn't really matters where you live either in Canada or US at the time of applying for your PR. But it will be better for you to apply outland (6 to 8months) rather than inland (12 to 18months).

Finally, Base on visiting your spouse, since you are from US it will be wise to have a genuine proof and ties of your country and a copy of your PR receipt with you in-case you are asked at the border.
