Hi,
Will it be ok if I attach my bank statement along with copies of savings certificates in name of my wife. She will accompany me in case if immigration is granted.
Thanks in advance.

Saw this in another thread: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/medical-accepted-request-for-rprf-and-passportsfor-visa-issuence-t21780.0.htmlThis refers to your application for admission to Canada.
Please be informed that you application is ready for visa issuance. The medicals are valid till xx-xx-2010. You are requested to comply with below instructions.
************************************************************************************************************* You are advised to print, write your file number [as stated in email's subject], insert date and completely fill in the enclosed form [PHEP] and submit with the following:
- Right of Permanent Resident Fee (RPRF) for yourself and spouse
- Proof of transferable funds, in your name, in the form of original updated Bank Statement [Transaction Report 3-6 months] equivalent to CAD$ 22,831 from your bank showing that you have sufficient liquid funds, unencumbered by any debts or obligations.
Note: Bank Certificates / Letters, Joint Bank Account Statements (where co-holder is other than your spouse) or Bank Statement if it is in the name of the Company/Business, Bank Drafts, Saving/Investment documents, Fixed Deposits and Property Evaluation certificates are not accepted as proof of funds. This is confusing!

It depends on the Local Visa Office too. How can we find out the Visa Office requirements? (In my case, New Delhi) One more question: Would the New Delhi Office ask for an update of funds at the visa issuance stage, when it was already updated at the documents update stage?

Yes, should be OK, as Fixed deposits can be broken @ any time and the money then becomes readily available & accessible. (You may have to pay a fine for breaking it before the specified maturity date though). I am sure that for London Office, it should be fine.

Friends, Here's how we showed our proof of fund: Half the amount as fixed diposit certificate belongs to my wife and me. Some amount as fixed diposit certificate where I am the co-owner along with my father. Rest as fixed diposit certificate owned by my wife and her mother. All certificates indicate that all have equal right to withdraw money, which is called "either or survivor basis" in India. We have completed our medical tests and submitted RPRF and passports to CHC New Delhi as per their request, so I think it worked. My wife and our two children will accompany me to Canada if we get the VISA.
Regards joy
