I see people here mentioning that they are accountants, but can you apply as an accountant if it is category 1111? The only eligible group seems to be 1122?

You can apply under NOC 1111 only if you have a job offer in Canada.

Finance / Accounts category is suspended for immigration since June 2010. One can not apply for immigration unless have job offer.
