Can neone explain this. I have applied for Canadian immigration under federal skilled worker class. my application reached there on 18 august 2011 & wz recieved by g. miller in NS Canada according to courier tracking system . so after 6 weeks i emailed them to know bout the status of my application after two week nd they hv replied that they cant find the record of my application with the information i hv provided them so they hv asked me bout some more information nd my courier tracking number. so i hv supplied them with all the information last week nd now i am waiting for their response. i hv check with with bank if my bankdraft has been cashed but they hv informed me that it has'nt been cashed yet nd is pending.
so its been 9 weeks in total since submission of my application. no response of approval from them so far.
I would like to know how many of you are facing this nd how many of you have applied around the dates of my application.

Hi Leo, it can take up to 3-4 months to receive the results of the eligibility review and file number after the application is submitted. In addition, the banks do not usually give out accurate information regarding the status of the drafts. When I had applied my bank had also informed me that my draft hadn't been encashed when in fact it was done 3 months earlier.

I would suggest that you try to call CIC and speak to them directly to get the information. I hope everything works out, all the best.
