Can my wife immigrate from USA to Canada if she's out of status in USA

Hi here is my situation, I have been living in the USA 6 years legally, and my wife has been living ten years illegally. she cross the board without permission. I took the Quebec skilled worker assessment and said  we meet the requirements to be selected. however, I want to know if our admission could be denied because of my wife status. I need some help before I continue with my application ....

Family members included in an application for permanent residence or an application for a temporary purpose, do not need to have been lawfully admitted to the country in which the application is submitted. Such a requirement would make it impossible for some families to submit visa applications anywhere.
