Can medical check-up be done before official request?

Hi everyone,

I heard that some people take medical check-up before they receive official medical requests.
so that they can shorten the processing time by this way.
But to my knowledge, the official guideline says that " do not take medical check-up before official requests".
Anyone knows about this?

Thank you in advance.

To add to that...The medical examiner requires the slip you'll get from the visa office

Thank you for the replies but I still wonder how some people have taken medical exams before official request without the slip.

Read this post and you'll understand why you should not be doing your medicals without being requested.
