Hi All,

I'm in Toronto, Canada on a closed work permit sponsored by my employer. My employer is getting into a contract with a Ottawa based consulting company. The Consulting company has a customer in MOntreal - Quebec and they want to deploy me over there?

Now in this case are there any legal implications which we need to consider since my LMO has been approved by Ontario but I'm indirectly working in Quebec???

I have consulted a legal firm and they said that we need to get first quebec certificate + quebec LMO in order to proceed, which is not possible unless we wait for 8-12 weeks. I just want to confirm the same with the experts out here.

Thanks in advance.

I did that but I was on LMO exempted category at that time. Quebec authority told me that if it is of short duration no need to get CAQ. There is no defined short duration.

Thanks Manek for your reply.

My contract is for 8-12 weeks, would it need an LMO + CAQ??

I dont think so it would need CAQ, but you can call Quebec immigration to confirm.
