As above.  I am on a work permit at the moment till I hear back from Seattle.  I have plans to go to Europe for ten days in march.

Means you have a legal temporary status (study, work, etc) with a multiple entry Temporary Residency Visa

one last question!

I just looked at my work permit and nothing says "must not leave Canada" or anything like that.

So, sounds like i'm good to travel?

You have to apply for this visa as it allows you to re-enter Canada. You permit is valid until you are in Canada but to enter Canada you need a Visa that is stamped into your passport.

it seems to me i'll be exempt from that as I have a British passport.  I hope i read it right!

Hi, My file was also transferred since march 2012 and they said not to contact them before 90 days. did u contacted at seattle ? why they take long time ? did they asked for any documents from you ?
