Hi,
Can someone help me?
I am sponsoring my husband from Manila,Philippines.
He went through the medical and he has all the supporting documents.
However, we have problem in our Marriage Certificate NSO copy clerical error.
His second name omitted in that copy.
But the SECPA and LCR Marriage Cert have correct names.
Can I submit the application together with Secpa and LCR Marriage Certificate
And affidavit letter that our NSO marriage certificate undergoing process in
Correcting the error on his name that takes about 2-4 months to release.

I am scared that they will refuse my application if I submit my application.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi everyone

I need help with my application. As it takes 12 weeks to obtain the marriage certificate, so can i submit the application first, then will send the marriage certificate later once i get it?

Speak to shandymoo, she got married in Ontario and knows exactly what to do to get your marriage certificate faster.

My case is really complicated so dont compare it to yours!! I sent my app back in August 2009 We got AIP about 10 days ago ....why all the delay?? because my application got sent to local office before first stage approval and because of that I had to wait a year to prove that my marriage is genuine my advice would be make sure you read the forms 10 if not 20 times before you send it out , fill it carefuly , make sure u have strong proof of you relationship in it. I was naive when I sent in the application because I did not know anything about the process and I trusted my lawyer to guid me through it (THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE) so read the posts on this forum everybody is great they will lend hand when needed so if you dont know something ask dont just answer what you think is right.

I learne't this the hard way ....oh well

Please make sure that you attach something to your application that shows why you still dont have the marriage certificate and if possible proof (receite)showing that you orderd it and if you have any other formal papers that reflect the marriage cermony attach that as well.

Also see if there is a way to get the marriage certificate faster like I said I sent mine without it and they didnt send it back.

Edit* I just rememberd make sure you get a copy of the marriage licence as well you will need to include it as well later on.

Good luck
