I am a UK citizen currently in Miami traveling to Canada.  I am in the process of waiting for an outcome on my Canadian work permit application but I have not received it yet.  Can I still go into Canada as a "Visitor" as I am visa exempt being British even though I have a work permit application in place ?  Do I be honest and tell the CBSA at the border about having already applied for a work permit or will I be refused entry ?  I basically have to go there into Canada to leave my pet there with my friend who already lives in Canada since I cannot take my pet into the UK as it wont be allowed in.  I will then be leaving Canada after 2 weeks to go back to the UK and will wait for my permit.  Will the CBSA give me any trouble about taking taking the pet.  Is this okay what I am doing or will I be refused entry to Canada ?  I really have to know this as i am panicking and my nerves are getting the better of me.  I appreciate any honest response to this good or bad.

Much appreciated
