Hi Seniors,

I got my Visa and I would go in Feb along with my family.

I have a sister who recently got divorced due to some reasons. I wanted to know can I sponsor her for Immigration or can she apply by her own.
She is BE (Electrical) and have 1 year of teaching working experience.

Please anyone guide me teh process what best I can do so taht she can also get Canada Immigration.

Thanks

U can only sponsor ur wife, and parents. and siblings who are below 18 yrs of age.

Above 18 years of age, need to apply independently. but ofcourse  she can mention u as a relative living in canda, for that she will get points !

u can confirm this information on cic website !

As far as I can see, her occupation does not qualify under the list of 29 but if she can get a job offer, she can apply.  You can not sponsor an adult sibling unless you are living in AB, MB or SK and do it under their PNP with their conditions.  You could also try to help her get a job offer so she can apply herself.

Thanks a lot Leon for your valuable comments.
Yes I see I cannot sponser her as she is not in that category anymore.

A she has done BE (Electrical), can she apply for STudent Visa there for highr studies. If Yes, what is the process and how she can proceed for it. I want if she can go for Education there and also if she can avail good Scholarship.

I would really appreciate of I woud get guidance on the same.

Thanks in advance..

For a student visa, she needs to have been accepted to college and show that she can afford the tuition and living expenses as well as that she will return to her homeland after her studies are completed.
