Hello,

I am from India. I was working as a software guy for 3 years. After that I left my job and started my own business. Worked as a freelancer for around 10 months and recently started to get my business legalised. I have around CAD $ 1750 left in  my bank account. Now, I want to visit canada for around a week. what are my chances to get a visitor visa? I don't know if I have enough funds since I have invested a lot in my business.

Thanks in advance.

CAD $ 1750 in bank account is not enough. You may do a rough estimation of your 1week tour to Canada. I guess a fund of 5K to 10K is good. If you do not have the fund you have to proof that the business party you are visiting in Canada they will bear the expenses of your travel/accommodation.

so basically, Canada does not allow the middle class as tourists, if one must posses that much money for a holiday, right?
Some folks from the visa-free countries go on holidays using borrowed funds (credit cards/overdrafts).  So why the unequal treatment?
