Hi All,
As per below link:
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/pr_fees-frais_rp.aspx?lang=eng
RPRF in Indian Rs. is 21,440 does this mean that I can make the payment in Indian rupees also or it should be in Canadian dollar(490) only.

Also let me know the followings:
  • Demand Draft should be address to which name?
  • Should it be payable in India or Canada?
I would be thankful if you can refer me a link from CIC which answer to my above questions.
Thanks.

RPRF should be in Canadian dollars only payable on your visa office (either india or else)

***If you are paying in Canadian dollars, the bank draft should be addressed to the: Receiver General for Canada. But I don't know who is to address for payment via rupee. I explored but did not find any clue. but I found in Singapore-Canada option where there is written:
***If you are paying in Singapore dollars, the bank draft should be made payable to the: High Commission of Canada.
To my mind, you should send to Receiver General for Canada via CAD

Fees are payable in Canadian dollars or Indian Rupees. Only bank drafts (demand drafts) or certified cheques are accepted; cash is not accepted for fee payment. The bank draft should be made for the exact amount and in favour of "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi.

You should pay if in Dollars then 'Receiver General for canada' payable at new delhi

or

pay in rupees then 'canadian high commission' payable at new delhi.

Both are confirmed Smiley

I tried to make the payment in CAD but payable at New Delhi, and the bankers said it just cannot be done.  It has to be a bank in Canada, but when we send it to ND visa office, they need to physically send the DD to Canada, I believe to get it cashed.

So best bet to pay in INR for the exact amount payable at New Delhi, to the High... as mentioned by several ppl already.

best,

Thanks everyone.

Through following website of Canadian embassy at New Delhi, I got below facts:

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng

Fees are payable in both:
  • Canadian dollar OR
  • Indian Rupees (preferably I will go for this option)

The bank draft should be made in favor of:
  • "Canadian high commission" OR
  • "Receiver general for Canada"

Payable at New Delhi.
and the amount should be 21,440 (Indian Rupees).
