Hi,

My husband is canadian citizen and working in usa and I in usa on dependent visa.

He applied for my PR. He is going to get job in Toronto and I am planning to with him on Visitor visa, meanwhile if I will get work permit then will that affect my PR file?

If you apply through the out-land process you will have to wait until your PR visa is issue before you can work. But if you use the inland process you will have to wait about 11months for initial assessment of the sponsor to be approved before you can be eligible for work permit.

You can apply for visitor visa or work permit through LMO from your employer. And NO it will not affect your PR file.

Jenny... ask your husband to sponsor you while you are in USA, it's more faster than in-land. It takes about 5 to 6 months to process your sponsorship. this is better than applying a work permit.
