My partner and I recently received notification, and our visas, for landing in Canada as permanent residents.  We would like to go to Canada now to complete the process and get our PR cards.  (We do have an address in Canada.) 

However, we do not intend to move there right away, but within the year.  Would we still be able to apply and receive our PR cards?  (We would have them mailed to our Canadian address.)
