Can I extend work permit and renew visa at the same time ?< live in caregiver>

My work permit is almost expire.Do I have to renew work permit first? then apply for visa later? Or I can do both same time. I plan to go  vacation in homecountry. I live in Vancouver.

Hi Icycool,

WP first then TRV later.  Do this if your intention of going home is by 2nd quarter 2012.  By that time, you have received your renewed WP.

If you cant wait, send both TRV (Seattle) and WP ext. (CPC-V).  In addition to your proof of current employment, attached copies of your WP ext apps on your TRV apps.  And also, make a cover letter.  I guess this would be enough for a positive TRV.   

To make sure, do the first.

Thank you Plussy. I think I will wait till get new workpermit then apply for TRV. I dont really want to pay another 150$ if negative. Just want to be sure
