i dont know the answer to your query but one thing i would say is Canadian immigration process shouldn't stop you from having a baby if you want to have one. the process is pretty much unpredictable and you cant just 'hang up' your life cos of it...

No you cannot do the medical in advance, as you need to take the Medical application forms that CHC will send you and submit them to the doctor.  Without those forms, the doctor will not be able to do your medicals.

As i know if pregnant during the immigration processing and they send medical request, I only can do the medical after delievery, then will take 1 more year time. So if I can do it in advance, that will be perfect.

Thank you guys for answering me.

Good luck.

Hi Loveson,

talk to a DMP who is resp. for your region. She/he can confer this with your VO. I know a case which ok from VO, but my friends didn't pursue due to their timeline. Please consider your PR, delivery, medical insurance timeline.

all the best, Kasra

Hi Loveson,

Sorry to say but you can't do medical in advance. You have to show medical papers received from visa office to DMP and he will send his report based on the same.

your agent is right u cant do the medicals in advance because CHC sends you a form called IMM 1017 (or something like this) with your name and all other details and you have to take this on your medical appoinment without that form you cant do medicals
furthermore if you have a baby while your application is still in process you'll have to submit another application for baby secondly if you become pregnant then you'll have to wait untill the baby's birth to submit his/her application..
hope this help

Hi Sonea,

I hope you got a chance to read my post above.....Meds can be done in advance.

The applicant who had done Meds in advance successfully is "burcu" who has landed on 15th Nov, 2011 and is an active member of this forum.

i cant say about other places i live in UK and booked recently for medicals our GP clearly stated that we require to bring IMM 1017 and that must be the orignal not a copy ... secondly even if you do that your medicals expire in one year and you must do the medicals for the baby after birth

I think that may be before some class Immigrants could/were allowed to get their Meds done. Now probably, is not the case anymore. As we need forms etc... Our DMP also asked about the forms, first.
