Dear friends,

I came here to canada on study permit and completed my studies. I got my open work permit (PGWP). I was working for few months in the same field of my studies. Now i do not have a job. Can i work in a restaurant as a cashier or any other jobs to survive here. I am waiting for my PR. The status still shows in process. I applied for PR in Dec 2009 under FSW1 category.

Will it be a problem for immigration if i work in different field.

Please advise.

Thanks,
RAG.

With open work permit u can work anywhere u like, however to process ur immigration application fast it would be better if u secure a job in ur field.  Till u get a job in ur own field again to manage ur expenses u can work anywhere.
