Can I claim my kids as dependant even they are not in canada

Hello...I'm new here in Canada and its my first time to file income tax return.i want to ask if I will put my kids as dependants they are in phil now. Pls help

Yes - you can claim your kids as dependents as long as you support them and no-one else claim them.
