Hello everyone!

I need to send a restoration of my status asap because my LMO was declined. (I was on implied status)

Without a LMO I can't apply for a new work permit, so I was wondering: Can I change my status from worker to visitor within Canada? (restoration) and How? or should I go to Buffalo?

What are the chances to get a visitor visa if I go to Buffalo? Should I do also the restoration there or a totally new one? What should I say to have a best chance to get one? I am afraid the border officer might think I am going to continue to work illegally until the residence comes through or something!  (No. I'm not working anymore)

I want to stay because I applied for perm residency under CEC, I already received my IA, and my medical exams are done also, and I'm just waiting for the passport request...but before I need to send a proof of my current status in Canada.

Has anyone been in the same situation, and if so what did you do?

Do you have any suggestions or advice on my situation?

Thanks Smiley

Hi,

Are you already out of status, meaning is your TRV expired?

The letter says I have to send the restoration of the status before the end of December.

So you are out of status. You are applying for restoration of temporary residence as a worker if you your expired TRV was as a worker.
