Can I apply for SIN card online? I have spoken to few people who have PR told me they received SIN card automatically. They did not apply for that. I have just searched on the internet I have to go to 1000 Gerrard Street which is too far from my place.

Any idea whch is the nearest office for service Canada from Finch and Silverstone Intersection?

Qorax or anyone please clarify.

It's not possible to apply online, you can apply through regular mail but will need to send all your original documents, Service Canada encourages people to apply in person. Take a look to the Service Canada website and look for an office that is near to you, the process will take less than an hour, is very simple.

I think that the only way to apply online is for the newborns.
