I have recieved my visa and would like to land in Aug/Sept. Can I look for jobs on internet and apply for them? Do I have to wait to work till I get my Social Security which is a month later from landing?

Sure you can, If you are offered a job, immediately after you "Land", go to HRSDC office and explain that you already have a job, they will either verbally give you the number or give you a receipt. Then explain to the employer the number is coming, or give them the number.
