I have to submit personal net worth statement. My question is, can I add ornaments (mainly gold) valuation in the personal worth statement? In the form I found a word 'metal" does it cover ornaments? senior plz reply.

Which is ur visa office? Gold, property, car are not accepted vy certain visa offices or else u should sell those and transfer the funds to ur account and also explain the same in a cover letter.

Hey letsgoabroad  Gold are not accepted as POF, but you can bring with you when you got visa and show all reports gold at POE when you land to canada, thats valid but as POF for getting visa is not valid POF.

The personal net worth statement means,  all that you have got that can be turned into (liquid) cash. London and Singapore offices are the 2 well known offices that request applicants to fill in this form. Hence, Yes, Gold - Metal in this sense can be included on one's personal net worth statement.
In short,  the personal net worth statement is the total of your assets minus what you owe.
In my view Gold alone can not be shown as proof of fund but could be part of your assets.
You will still need to show the required liquid cash to sustain you during the initial days. You may however sell/Value the Gold,  (you will have to sell before Landing)  if that is all you have.

schwarzeradler  your thinking is good but as part of POF somany CHC not accepted, yes as you discribe landing POF will accepted Gold what you own but not complete POF (even 60% gold and 40% cash is accpeted as landina POF , but not accepted such POF required by CHC). even I show ornaments evaluation report, I have also some gold 20% of POF I can calculate gold but not accepted by CHC, they accept only my checking and savings accounts.
