My boyfriend came to visit me from St.Lucia. The ticket he bought was for 1 month with a 2nd possible return date. While he was here I decided I wanted him to stay the full 6 months... Now here is the trouble... when we tried to change his ticket - the airline said his return portion was fraudulent. Not sure how that works but there wasn't anything we could  do. Now he's had to wait till I could afford a new ticket home for him. He's been here and extra 3 months... Is this going to cause troubles for him to come back and visit in the summer again?

If you didn't go to the trouble of applying to extend his visa, then yes it's going to cause you problems.

And if his return ticket was considered fraudulent, it sounds like someone didn't comply with the ticket convenants.  Either he did something wrong, or he bought the ticket from a third party that partially used the ticket.

OK... so it's going to cause troubles. What steps can I take to help him be able to come back into Canada?

I believe he's automatically inadmissable for 1 year.

He should contact his local Canadian embassy or consulate to be sure.
