I am also working in the us on H1B visa -special educator-. I applied for Manitoba PNP and got nominated. Right now my PR application is in process. It is possible.

It is easier to apply for provincial nomination (PNP) from any province in Canada if u have a relative or a friend in the chosen province. The other route is to apply to the federal government as a skilled worker but it takes longer and may not be easy qualify for. If u can speak French or is learning French then u can also apply directly to Quebec. I am really not knowledgeable in all options but I believe its very possible. Please get a lawyer or talk to relatives or friends in Canada.
