Situation:
a.   A boy (date of birth : 2010/01/04) was born in China, whose father is a Canadian citizen whereas the mother is a permanent resident;
b.   Both the father and mother are now in Montreal, Canada operating a business and are unable to travel to China at this moment;
c.   The child is now residing with the maternal parents;
d.   The child has a birth certificate and a Chinese passport;
e.   The parents of the child wish to get the child to Canada as soon as possible.

Our questions:
1.   Can we apply for a special visa for the child so that he can travel to Canada? If so, what application form is required?

Many thanks!

Is the boy 2nd generation born abroad?  If so, he would have to be sponsored as a PR.  I don't think there is a special visa for the child for visiting Canada.
