has anyone known of a case where an illegal person in the US been granted PR through the Skilled Worker Program from the US?

I am a Guyanese citizen currently living in the USA and out of status. I have applied for the Permanent Residence through the Canadian Skilled Worker program and have been granted a visa for Permanent Residency. I am a single parent, with a one year old daughter who is a US Citizen and was also added to my application and received Permanent Residency in Canada. The Port of Spain, Trinidad Office processed my application and my current status in the USA was stated in the application.

My concern is, would I have any problems with Immigration upon entering Canada regarding my illegal status in the US? Can i be denied entry at that point even though my daughter and I have already been issued Canadian Permanent Resident Visas??

If u have stated ur status correctly on ur application then visa officers do not mistakenly issued the docs and most probably u will not have any issues apparently. However u must consulte with any immigration expert on ur own to further check on it

You are fine.  Mind you the US will ban you probably for 10 years.

Hello,

If you entered USA with a valid visa for a period of one year and you've no criminal background, you shouldn't have a problem. This is just an opinion from what I have heard from others in the forum.

Best of Luck.

correct if no criminal history than applicant have no problem. but as PMM said he will ban for USA to next several years. POE officer will inform to applicant once ready to departure from USA.
