I actually do know that it is not allowed to do part time job if one is on a temporary work permit which are valid normally for 2 years.  But can a temporary work permit holder get/obtain a second work permit for his/her part time job?

Thanks

Yes, you could have a second employer. But you also have to have a valid work permit for your part time job.

Except that service Canada will not issue LMOs for PT jobs.

Thank you for your replies.  but if service canada will not issue LMO for part time job, I can not get a work permit for it. Otherwise, I can look for a job where work permit can be issued without the need for LMO? is this correct.  Sorry just want to make sure. Thanks again for your patience and help.

I do not believe you can have 2 work permits with 2 different employers at the same time.  If you are not making enough money, you can try to look for another job that gives you more money or the option to do overtime.  From what I've heard though, they are barely issuing new LMO's anymore.  Better to apply for your immigration if you want to stay.  Once you are PR, you can have as many jobs as you want.
