I'm not sure if this was discussed here: I have not received the resident card after almost 4 months. I'm still in the US but I provided a Canadian address when I landed. My wife got her card at that address.
Is it possible (and  OK) to call from the US in inquire about the card? If yes, anyone knows the number (the regular number does not work from the US as far as I know)?

Since you cannot use the 1-888 number outside Canada, but you can make a 3 Way call (between you, your wife in Canada and CIC).  Here's how:

Outside Canada

It is possible to reach the CIC call centre from outside Canada via Foreign Affairs Canada:
