"We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 28, 2011.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called A Look at Canada on March 28, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on November 16, 2011.

Your file was transferred to the CIC Calgary office on November 28, 2011. The CIC Calgary office will contact you if additional information is required. The CIC Calgary office will contact you regarding your citizenship test once all the necessary checks on your file are complete."

Does anyone have an idea, how long its gonna take in Calgary to send a letter for test schedule?

@  bskl. from cases I see in the forum I am not sure what the timeline is because some takes just a few days while others take weeks . Now your own case has taken longer. Just let me know when you receive something from the immigration.

On Jan 27 2012, I got a mail for my citizenship test to be held on Feb 16 at 8 am, very excited.. I wrote the test with probably all correct. They said to wait for 1-3 months for another letter in mail (if I will pass in the test), which will be a schedule for oath taking ceremony. Ya..hoo......

I received a letter in mail on March 1, 2012 that my oath taking ceremony will be held on 23 March at 1:30 pm. So, this will complete my citizenship application process.

My Calgary timeline:

*******

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 7, 2011.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called A Look at Canada on February 7, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on November 4, 2011.

We sent you a notice on February 17, 2012 to appear and write the citizenship test on March 5, 2012 at 8:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

*******

Wrote the test today, so now I'm waiting for the notice to take the citizenship oath... Hopefully it won't be too long, need to travel.

The test questions were super easy. I had prepared to the test like crazy, read through the Discover Canada booklet several times, memorizing all the facts, dates, names, numbers etc. It seems reading it casually once or twice max would have been more than enough Smiley
