In calculating absence on travel history on PR card application is it different than in calculating days spent in Canada where you count day arriving and leaving each as a day. Is Feb 29 counted?

The day you are leaving - count one day in Canada
The day arrived - count one day in Canada
If February has 29 days on the particular year it should be counted too.

Look at this way:

Total number of days in a specific period = time in Canada + absences outside Canada

So if you know the "total" and "time in Canada", you should be able to figure out the absences!  Cheesy
