Can you guys tell me how long it takes to get the marriage certificate legalized at the embassy? Like does it take one day or a week?

it takes one day you leave it and pick it up next day

like mido said yes it just take one day and u will pay 260 EGY pound or 50 CAN dollar

i dnt know why u didnt get my e mail ameenah..that nt good i will send again anyway

just wanted to tell you a already landed last friday june 17 ,2011
and right now  iam in Ottawa , ont,
the city is really amazing  and weather untill now is really good lol

so which airline u used and how much was it ?what papers u took with did u need to translate any other papers  ,,things like experince certificate or graduation cert etc ?? u better say all the story since u got ur visa stamp Grin

Welcome new vet2000 to canada... Especially in the beautiful city of Ottawa (i know this because i live right across the river Smiley

Hope that the transition went well and that you enjoying every moment with your wife !!

Here is an egyptian community in Ottawa that might interest you... You can visit their website at www.eccao.com

Ive attented one of their event in the past and was suposed to go to the annual gala (wich was cancelled due to the revolution) but i know i will be attending more once my husband has his visa (insha'allah!!)...

In the meantime... Im leaving Egypt tomorrow to go back to ottawa without my husband *snif*.....  Dont we all wish cairo office would process immigration a little bit faster!!! Yala bassura !!!

i know there is some good guys will help me when i need help
now i had my criminal record and family record ( after i changed my marital statue )
military service certificate
i know the next step is get them translated but i dont know where exactully i should
like all those paper will be translation from one office ?
also where i have to get the stamp from ?
what about the emmbassy ? i dont have to get those paper stamped from there ?
and my new ID with the chage ( married ) should i translate it ? from where ?
so where i should translate those paper
1  criminal record
2  family record
3  military service certificate
4   my new egyptian ID
5   my birth certificate


is that all paper i need or i miss some thing ?
and i need to know from where to translate and where to get stamped

1- criminal record >>>> send the original paper +the translation(get it stamped from ministry of foriegn affairs before u translate it)
2- family record   >>>>send a copy of it +the translation
3-military certification>> send a copy +the translation
4-new egyptian ID >>>>>send a cop + translation

all these papers u can get them translated from any translation center (authorized office)

5-birth certificate ,,u can get english copy of ur original B.certificate from ministry of Health (magles el sha3b street) u pay 40 pound i guess

6- dnt forget to send a photo copy of ur passport
7- nt bad if u send a photo copy of ur graduation certificate
8-all these papers ...u dont need to get them legalized from canadia embassy ...ur Marriage certificate is the only paper u need get it legalized from canadian embassy in cairo

thats all i remeber now ,,anyway if u still confused about anything else ,,, i sure can help u
