Hi everyone, Its been a while since I last came on. I see lots of great news for so many of us!! Alhumdulillah!!!  May God continue to bless us all. I pray that we all get through before christmas, and the embassy can start fresh with new applications for people who apply in the new year, and may God be with those people as well, and help bring them to their families/loveones so soon. Okay guys I think I have good news. I have not seen anything in writing yet but my husband text me this morning and said he would have his visa by next Monday. They must have reached him by phone. It's time to celebrate  Now, that also means that he will be coming here fast because his medicals expire either the 8th of November or the 24th. Not sure which date. I'll have to confirm with him tonight. I don't mind him coming sooner rather than later but honestly I really wasn't expecting this process to be over with until the new year, so I'm not as prepared as I would have liked to be. Stay strong everyone and keep the faith. |

I TOTALLY hear you on the being not prepared front!! I wasn't expecting any news at all until the New Year so insha'allah, if my hubby gets his visa next week he will prepare to journey on the 18th of November (that's our tentative date, but it could be sooner), he wants to stay for Eid and properly say goodbye to his family and friends. He also has a couple of cases to close out and reassign. I'm looking at my house and thinking OMG, I have SO much to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

WOW!!! Sheilala! Yours must be close behind! I got the email today (October 19) that my husband's visa is issued and sent out by DHL today. ELHAMDULELLAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's on hs way!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a question and not sure if anyone here can answer yet. Will my husband need a transit visa if his only stop is in Italy? We're trying to figure out exactly what he needs because he only has 3 weeks to get one. Anyone still here who is already in Canada, can you tell me what we need to do. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure not Sheila. Just check with the airline if you don't get an answer on here. Or you can call the CIC and ask them. If you're lookiing for flights, I found an amazing one on the 27th of October. It goes Cairo to London with a 1.5 hour layover and then directly to Toronto International. It was only 805.00. The total flight time was only 14 hours. The shorrtest flight I had on my journeys to Cairo was 23 hours and the longest 37. I searched for minimal stops and layovers and that's the best flight I could find. It's Egyptair out of Cairo and Air Canada out of Heathrow. I'm assuming he got the visa? ?::  )))) |
